Al Cleveland

Al Cleveland is an artist & designer from Queens, NY, who suffered through the hardship of a wrongful imprisonment for 25.5 years in the State of Ohio. With the help of the Ohio Innocence Project, he was released on October 13, 2020, and in less than 30 days formed his natural art multimedia company, CleveCo Studios, LLC.

His early street art from the 80s as a grafitti artist (Krak 5), brightly-colored and flared out in all its glory, provided the  backdrop for many Queens community members and celebrities that would go on to change the world.

He fused his love of nature, environmental causes, and art into a unique and thriving eco-friendly business that aims to turn nature's beauty into beauty for America's homes.

The Fight

25.5 Years

While imprisoned, Cleveland fought to discover the truth and find the real perpetrators of the crime. In the interim, he harnessed his writing and painting skills in preparation for the day he would be released.

His Release

That day finally came when Cleveland and his team decided to present new evidence they acquired to the Ohio Parole Board who released Cleveland and a co-defendant 8 months later on good behavior.

He and his legal team are still pursuing justice in the case, and freedom for his remaining two co-defendants.
